Great News! They moved Hunter to a step down room. All signs were still the same until a PT made him stand up. When he stood up (with help), he looked at his mother. The PT asked him if he wanted to hug his mom. With help, he walked over to her and patted her face. Oh, I'm crying while typing this. This is a miracle of God. Hunter has a long road ahead, but this one little sign was what we were all looking for. Your prayers are working. Please keep praying for Hunter, Granny and family. They are so very emotionally and physically exhausted.

Tommy, Tara, Tara's mother, and their children, Hunter and Brent, were in the wreck that occurred at Hwy 51 and Hwy 55 on Thursday. Please pray for the family's recovery. Granny has many broken bones and will be in the hospital for a while. Brent, 10 years old, suffered some head trauma. We are waiting for him to wake up. Brent is o.k., and Tara may be released today.

Daniel's surgery got a late start today---he was in the O.R. for about 2 & a half hours. I don't think this was unexpected since Dr. Phillips had to not only lengthen the rods in his back, but also work on his foot so that he won't continue to walk on his tip-toe. The last message I received was that he was awake (about 6:10 Eastern time) and in quite a bit of pain in his leg. He was being moved from Recovery into a Special Care room. Bill is spending the night at the hospital with Daniel---Dawn is spending the night w/family friends in Orlando. I'm sure I'll get more news tomorrow. Thank you for the prayers, Ben

I went to the VA Hospital last evening with the American Legion's District 21 Christmas Caravan. There are many Veterans in the hospital for the Christmas. Please say an extra prayer for them. They have done so very much for us, and prayer is an excellent way for us to give back! God Bless America.

I also recently attended a Christmas party at Grace House in Fairfield AL. (I was Santa's elf!) This is a home to girls who have been removed from their family by the Court due to abuse of many sorts. There are currently 22 girls at Grace House ranging from 8 years of age to 19. I ask that you please say a prayer for them that they may come to understand the Lord loves them and is always with them no matter where they are in their lives, and that He will bring peace to them if they believe. Please keep them in your prayers.

Thanks everyone! Liz

Hi Everyone,

Praise the Lord!! Daniel's bloodwork does NOT have anything wrong!! The hospital called and apologized to Bill for such a terrible mistake! There was a contamination of Daniel's original test. The nurse saved enough from the lab work on Friday to do a re-test once they discovered their error. The re-test showed a negative result, and he is ok to receive any transfusion he may need in surgery!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for lifting all of this up in prayer!! Once again, the Lord is the Great Physician!! It is a big relief to know that if there should be a problem in the operating room, the doctors have the ability to save Daniel's life!!

We will let you know how everything turns out tomorrow. His surgery has been bumped to 1:30pm, so it may be a late afternoon before we know anything.

Love in Christ, Bill and Dawn

Please pray for the family of Linda Knox. Linda passed away last Friday night, Her mother(my aunt) was living with her and her husband. Linda had a 9 year old son that was left behind. She was an only child which leaves her mother without a husband, and now a daughter. And a child without a mother.

Hi Everyone,

We received a call from the hospital yesterday evening. Daniel had lab work done, and the blood bank has called with concerns and a problem with his test results. We don't have many details, and will know more when Dr. Phillips and Dr. Denn are consulted on Monday. There is something his blood is testing positive for that has not been there in the past (and we don't know what that something is). The nurse and blood bank are insisting that he has had a blood transfusion, however, Bill and I have both been told after every surgery that he has not needed a transfusion. The nurse said that this is going to make it very difficult for him to receive blood, if it becomes necessary. We should receive a call on Monday or Tuesday with what all this means.

We are not afraid of this new problem because we know that this did not catch God off guard. We know that he is the Great Physician and has this all worked out. However, the uncertainty of what is going on is unsettling right now and we are not telling Daniel anything until we know more. It is strange to some to be upset & concerned but at peace all at the same time. Please pray that the doctors can get everything settled and give us some clearer information soon. Romans 5:1-5 says it well, " . . . we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope . . ."! And hope is what we strive to have!

Thank you for praying! Love in Christ, Bill and Dawn
